Have a chiropractic-related question? We have the answer. Check out these FAQs and give us a call today for more information!
-
Will my health improve from chiropractic care?
Rather than treating the symptoms of a disease, chiropractic care focuses on naturally maintaining your health to assist your body in disease resistance.
-
What will happen at my first visit?
We will provide an evaluation using time-honored methods including consultation, physical examination, and X-ray examination. After all examinations, you'll receive the appropriate therapy or chiropractic adjustment.
-
Does chiropractic care involve drugs or surgery?
While we use a number of techniques to locate, analyze and correct vertebral misalignments, no pharmaceutical drugs or surgeries are used. Instead, chiropractors use manual adjustments, electrical muscle stimulation, massage, and laser therapy.
-
What problems can chiropractic care treat?
The most common ailment we treat is back pain, but we also treat patients with acute or chronic conditions such as headaches, neck pain, sciatica, and nervous system issues that result from car accidents, sports injuries, heredity, and other causes.
-
Can I receive chiropractic services if I am pregnant?
Yes. Chiropractic care is good during pregnancy as the increasing weight and the baby's size put stress on the natural curves of your spine. Adjustments are harmless to the baby and are safe until delivery. During an adjustment, the chiropractor gently presses on joints in your spine to relieve nerve pressure and restore your range of motion.
-
Is chiropractic care good for children?
Yes. A child's spine can be stressed or injured during birth, and as they learn to walk and run, falling can cause strains and sprains. Having a chiropractor periodically check the child can help to identify any spinal weaknesses. Chiropractic care has no age limit. It can even help infants with colic.
